The 127-inch (3,226 mm) wheelbase Land Rover 127, was a variant of the first generation Defender, originally known as the Ninety/One Ten. Even though the general model was named after the shorter wheelbase-length variants (Ninety and One Ten), the 127 was offered as the larger utility derived option of the Land Rover utilitarian vehicle lineup. Available from the 1986 model year, the 127 was always marketed with the name rendered numerically, as opposed to its shorter wheelbase length siblings.
