The Land Rover Defender 90 Hard Top or Basic was the utility version of the three-door, short wheel base version of the Defender 90. Offered as the utilitarian alternative to the Defender 90 Station Wagon, it was commonly offered with solid panel-van side panels instead of windows, although it was eventually offered with windows as an option. Despite apparently being very similar to the previously mentioned Defender 90 Station Wagon, the Defender 90 Hardtop was offered as a completely basic utuility vehicle with a myriad of options to choose from and customize to each owner's needs.
