The third generation of the Jeep Wrangler was introduced for the 2007 model year. Known as the JK, the third generation Wrangler introduced the four door body style to the Wrangler lineage. This new four door variant was known as the Wrangler Unlimited, the same name used for the previous Wrangler TJ generation of two door long wheelbase versions. The TJ was available with a range of inline four and V6 engines, including a diesel option. The Wranger TJ was in production until 2018 and was replaced by the Jeep Wrangler JL.
