The International Harvester WorkStar was first released for the 2009 model year as a replacement for the 7400 and 7600 series trucks. WorkStar would be the new line's name. The trucks are available in 4x4 and with five different diesel engines. The series would have many different uses such as off-road fire trucks, powerline utility, dump trucks and garbage maintenance. In 2018 they were replaced by the HV series.
