The Model A was introduced by Hupmobile in 1925. This model was part of the brand's strategy to offer larger and more sophisticated vehicles compared to its previous models. With a three speed manual transmission and power sent to the rear wheels the Model A was offered with an inline six-cylinder engine (available as 3.2L and 3.5L), which improved performance compared to previous four-cylinder models. This model was well received, contributing to Hupmobile's growth in the years leading up to the Great Depression. The Hupmobile Model A was produced until 1930.
