Hesketh Motorcycles was a British motorcycle manufacturer that was founded in 1982. Hesketh Motorcycles was the brainchild of Lord Hesketh, who had significant motorsports fame as the head of the last private Formula 1 team to have won a race. Created with the vision of reinvigorating the British motorcycle industry, Hesketh Motorcycles was plagued by problems from the start, with ownership of the company shifting hands twice in two years. Even with a few early troubled years, the company was able to develop models such as the V1000 and the Vampire before operations slowed down and the brand became dormant until 2014 when the company unveiled its latest model, the Hesketh 24.
