The GMC Syclone is a high-performance variant of the GMC Sonoma. This pickup truck featured a 280hp turbocharged 4.3L V6 engine that sent drive to the rear wheels through a 4 speed automatic transmission. At the time of its release, it was the fastest production truck in the world. The GMC Syclone saw limited production, wih 2,998 examples built, with the vast majority being built in 1991, before the end of production in 1992. GMC would go on to produce an SUV version of the Syclone known as the GMC Typhoon.
