Georges Irat was a French automotive brand created by the engine manufacturer of the same name. Georges Irat, which was named after its founder, was a well known engine manufacturer. In 1921, the company began producing a limited range of cars in collaboration with other French manufacturers. Cars sold under the Georges Irat name included the Model A, MDU, and the quirky VdB (Voiture de Bled). Due to the fuel shortage caused by WW2, the company experimented with electric cars, before eventually ending automotive operations in 1953.
