The Ford Shelby Mustang Super Snake was a variant of the 3rd Gen Shelby Mustang that was introduced for the 2015 model year, in previous years known as the GT500 Super Snake. The Super Snake was available in Coupe and Convertible body styles, and featured a 5.0L Coyote V8 engine. Depending on the customer's order, the V8 could be equipped with a Shelby or Whipple supercharger, with outputs of 650hp and 750hp respectively. This power drove the rear wheels via a 6 speed manual or 6 speed automatic transmission. A notable version was the 50th Anniversary Edition, which was limited to 500 samples for the 2017 model year, celebrating 50 years since the original Super Snake was created.
