The seventh and final generation of the Ford Ranchero was introduced for the 1977 model year. This generation of Ranchero shared various components and styling with the Ford LTD II, and was offered in a coupe utility (pickup) body style. Unlike previous generations, the 7th Gen had limited engine options, with only three different displacement V8s offered. The standard engine was a 302ci unit, while a 351ci and 400ci were optional. Regardless of engine, a 3 speed automatic transmission sent drive to the rear wheels. Production of the Ford Ranchero ended in 1979.
