The Ford Mustang Saleen S-197 II, 5th Gen is based on the second version of the 5th generation Mustang (S-197 II). The previous version, S-197 I had a slightly different body style and engine. Mustang tuner Steve Saleen (SMS) and Saleen Performance Vehicles, two separate companies, built a myriad of variants from 2010 to 2014. All Saleens of this era came with unique body badging and modifications. Some of these variants include the S302, S570, S281 S/C, SMS 460, and S351 (2013). The SMS 460 features a special supercharged 5.0L V8 that produces 655hp. Similar models have a lower output, but all are built with performance in mind.
