The Roush 5XR is a limited production variant of the S-197 II Roush Mustang that was only offered for the 2011 model year. The 5XR, which was offered in coupe or convertible body styles, was powered by a Roush-tuned 5.0L Coyote V8 engine. This powerplant received a 'ROUSHcharger' supercharger as well as other modifications, which saw output reach 525hp. Power from this mighty engine drove the rear wheels through a 6 speed manual transmission. Although a maximum of 150 examples were slated for production, only a total of 136 examples were actually built.
