The Ford Mustang Guia, a luxury version of the Fox-body Mustang, was available between 1979 and 1981. The Ghia came in Coupe (notchback) and Hatchback body-styles, and added luxurious appointments, mainly in the interior, including cut-pile carpeting, special door panels with map pockets, passenger-side vanity mirror, and a carpeted luggage compartment for the hatchback. Multiple engine options were available including the 2.3L I4, 4.2L V8, and 5.0L V8, driving power to the rear via automatic or manual transmission options. The Guia was replaced by the Mustang GLX for the 1982 model year.
