In 1956, Fiat introduced the Fiat 600 Multipla. A four door multi purpose vehicle, the Multipla was built on the Fiat 600 platform, yet had seating for six people. Powered by a series of inline four engines, the Multipla was sold in a handful of configurations, including a Taxi variant. In 1960, an updated 600 D Multipla was also introduced, featuring an improved drivetrain and a larger engine. The Fiat 600 Multipla was in production until 1969
