The Ferrari 575M Maranello - F1 is a two-seat, two-door, grand tourer coupé which featured Magneti Marelli's "F1" automated manual gearbox, a first for a Ferrari V12. Launched in 2002 alongside a 6-speed manual version, it is essentially an updated 550 Maranello featuring minor styling changes from Pininfarina. Producing 515 PS (379 kW; 508 hp), the 575 model number refers to total engine displacement in liters, while the 'M' is an abbreviation for 'modificata' (modified). For 2005, the company developed a new GTC handling package and introduced the Ferrari Superamerica version which had a retractable hardtop. Total production of the 575M Maranello with the F1 transmission amounted to 1,810 approximately. The 575M was replaced by the Ferrari 599 in the first half of 2006.
