The Multistrada model was launched by Ducati for the 2003 model year as a series of V-twin and V4 touring motorcycles. Just in middle of a super moto and a sport-tourer, the Multistrada (meaning many roads in Italian) is part of the big engine dual-sport tourers such as the BMW GS. Described when launched as an interesting and versatile motorcycle, the Multistrada’s lack of fuel capacity and performance left it in the standard bucket until Ducati started innovating and giving this promising model an improved character. This family of motorcycles was offered in a series of notable variants such as the 620, 950, 1000, 1100, 1200, 1260, V2 and V4.
