Ducati 998 (2002 to 2004)

Superseding the Ducati 996, the Ducati 998 was a Sport bike style motorcycle that debuted in 2002. The 998 was powered by a liquid cooled 998cc Twin-cylinder, 90° L-type engine producing 136hp. A 998S variant was also offered tuned to produce 136hp. The sought after Ducati 998R variant was tuned to increase its displacement going from 998cc to 999cc producing 139hp. The Ducati 996 was replaced by the Ducati 999 in 2003.
