Ducati 996 (1999 to 2002)

Superseding the Ducati 916, the Ducati 996 was a Sport bike style motorcycle that debuted in 1999. The 996 was powered by a liquid cooled 996cc Twin-cylinder, 90° L-type engine. The sought after Ducati 996R variant was tuned to increase its displacement going from 996cc to 998cc. The Ducati 996 was replaced by the Ducati 998 in 2002.
