The 100 was available in a Sport variant, powered by a 98cc four-stroke single-cylinder engine, producing 8hp and in the Cadet/Mountaineer variant powered by a 97cc two-stroke single-cylinder engine, producing 7.2hp. The Ducati 100 Cadet and Mountaineer were more versatile motorcycles capable of off-roading while the 100 Sport didn't do well in sales which led to its production ending in 1960. The Ducati 100 ended production in 1969.
