The second generation Dodge Ram 2500 pickup is a more rugged variant of the Ram 1500. The 2500 is considered a heavy-duty truck or 3/4 ton. These trucks were available with four-wheel drive and with the eventual introduction of the quad cab. Dodge also offered this variant with a 5.9L Cummins diesel or 8.0L V10. Production of the second generation Ram truck ended in 2002 after the 3rd Gen Dodge Ram trucks were introduced.
