Crossley Motors was a British automotive manufacturer that began operations in 1903. Originally, the company was known as Crossley Brothers, builders of industrial equipment, but in 1903, operations grew to include automaking. The two companies worked hand in hand until 1910 when operations split into two separate entities. As well as civilian cars and buses, Crossley manufactured a variety of military vehicles which were used by the British Armed Forces. In 1948, Crossley was acquired by AEC, which continued with operations until 1958, when they closed the Crossley factory before selling it in 1959.
