The ninth generation Chrysler New Yorker was introduced for the 1974 model year. The ninth generation New Yorker was offered as a two or four door hardtop, coupe, or sedan. Optional trim packages included the St. Regis, and the Brougham trim levels.Three V8 engine options were available during production (5.9L, 6.6L, 7.2L), which lasted until 1978, when Chrysler introduced the Tenth Generation New Yorker.
