The second generation Chrysler New Yorker was introduced for the 1946 model year. The second generation New Yorker was available as a sedan, coupe, convertible, or two door broughham sedan, and was fitted with a 5.3L inline eight engine. While largely similar to its predecessor, the second generation New Yorker only saw minor updates to its styling and mechanicals. Production of the second generation New Yorker lasted until 1948, when the Third Generation Chrysler New Yorker was unveiled.
