The second generation of Chrysler LeBaron was introduced for the 1982 model year. The second generation LeBaron was offered a mid size coupe, sedan, convertible, or Town & Country station wagon. All second generation cars were fitted with a choice of naturally aspirated or turbocharged inline four engine options. The LeBaron GTS, a five door hatchback variant, was also built. Production of the second generation LeBaron coupe and convertible variants ended in 1986, while the sedan and Town & Country wagons lasted until 1988. The LeBaron GTS continued until 1989. The second generation LeBaron was replaced by the Third Generation Chrysler LeBaron.
