Cagiva is an Italian motorcycle manufacturer that began operations in 1950 as a sheet-metal manufacturer. In 1978, the company entered the motorcycle marketplace and it was soon building a range of road bikes, as well as dirt bikes. While the company went through various owners in its history, Cagiva branded motorcycles remained in production until 2012, when the company focused its attention solely on the MV Agusta brand.
