The first generation of Cadillac Sixty Special was introduced for the 1938 model year. The Sixty Special was first created when Cadillac created a long wheelbase version of the Series 60. The first iteration of the Sixty Special was fitted with a 5.7L V8 engine and was offered exclusively as a four door sedan. The first generation Sixty Special was in production until 1941 and was replaced by the Second Generation Cadillac Sixty Special.
