The first generation of Buick Roadmaster was introduced for the 1936 model year. The Roadmaster evolved from the Buick Series 80, and was one of Buick's top models during its production. The first generation Roadmaster was available as a sedan or convertible, and was fitted with a 5.2L inline eight engine. Production of the first generation Roadmaster lasted until 1937, when it was replaced by the Second Generation Buick Roadmaster.
