Brewster & Company is an American automobile manufacturer that began building carriages in 1810. The company adapted to new technologies and embraced the automobile in 1905 by importing cars for the French auto-maker Delaunay-Belleville. Brewster's new direction was automobile coach-building. From 1915 to 1925, Brewster produced its own cars which were costly and were likley to be seen in affluent places like Manhattan. For a short time at the beginning of the depression, they formed a partnership with Ford and produced the Brewster-Ford.
