The BMW M135i was a performance focused variant of the F20 BMW 1 Series that was introduced for the 2013 model year. The M135i was available in both 5 Door Hatchback (F20) and 3 Door Hatchback (F21) body styles, and was powered by BMW's N55B30 engine. This 3.0L inline six initially had an output of 315hp, but a technical update for the 2016 model year saw power increase to 322hp. The M135i was available as a rear wheel drive model, or equipped with BMW's xDrive all wheel drive system, and was offered with manual or automatic transmission options. Production of the F20 BMW M135i ended in 2016 when it was replaced by the F20 BMW M140i.
