F.I.V. Edoardo Bianchi S.p.A., which is more commonly known as Bianchi, is an Italian bicycle manufacturer that previously also built motorcycles and automobiles. Founded in 1885, Bianchi is known around the world for their quality bicycles, yet the company also built a wide range of motorcycles. In addition to their two-wheeled exploits, Bianchi manufactured high end automobiles starting in 1899. These cars included models such as the Tipo 16, S5, and S9. Automotive production ended in 1940 due to WW2, with only motorcycle production restarting after the war. Bianchi would continue to build motorcycles until 1967, when the company focused on bicycle manufacturing. Notably, in 1955 Bianchi teamed up with Pirelli and Fiat to launch a new automotive brand known as Autobianchi.
