The second generation of Alvis TD 21 was introduced in 1962. Known as the Series II, the second generation TD 21 was an evolution of its predecessor, with the important addition of four wheel disc brakes and use of aluminum door frames. Various minor external changes were also implemented, such as revised reversing lights and license plate lights. The most notable change was the placement of the front fog lights into the front bodywork. Production of the Series II TD 21 lasted until 1963, when the model was replaced by the Alvis TE 21.
