The second generation of Alfa Romeo Spider was introduced in 1970. Known as the Series 2, the second generation Alfa Spider is often referred to as the 'Coda Tronca,' or 'Kamm Tail.' This distinctive styling feature helps differentiate the Series 2 Spider from previous Series 1 cars. Notable variants for the second generation include the 1600 Junior, the 1750 Spider Veloce, and the 2000 Spider Veloce. The second generation of Alfa Spider also featured a limited production targa top known as the Spider-Targa. Built until 1982, the Series 2 Spider was replaced by the Alfa Romeo Spider Series 3.
