The Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GT was not only part of the GT and GTV Giulia family, but the first Giulia sport model introduced. Launched in 1963. The "step front" or "Scalino" body style was used to describe this model due to the engine compartment lid sitting 0.4 inches above the nose of the car. The Sprint GT was sold as a 2+2 model equipped with single piece chrome bumpers, a flat chrome grille with rectangular mesh and no chrome bars and finally a "Giulia Sprint GT" exterior badging. The Sprint GT was also available with a Bertone De Luxe body, delivered with extra options such as leather upholstery in 5 different colors offered. Over the course of Giulia production, the Sprint GT would see two main variants built: Sprint GT (base model), Sprint GT Veloce (performance model).
