The RSX Type-S was the sporty version of the Acura RSX that was introduced for the 2002 model year. The Type-S was built in a liftback coupe body style, and was initially fitted with Honda's K20A2 engine. This 2.0L i-VTEC inline four had an output of 200hp was replaced in 2005 by the K20Z1 engine, which was and improved 210hp 2.0L inline four. Regardless of year, the only transmission was a 6 speed manual, which powered the front wheels. Production of the Acura RSX Type-S ended in 2006.
