The third generation of Acura Integra was introduced for the 1994 model year. The updated Integra featured distinctive styling changes, with the introduction of the "bug eye" front headlights. These headlights did not prove popular in the Japanese Domestic Market (JDM), so starting in 1995, JDM Integras featured long rectangular headlights, although North American versions retained the "bug eye" headlights. The third gen Integra was offered as a liftback coupe or sedan, and was available with a range of naturally aspirated inline four engines. A wide number of variants were available, including the GS-R and the top of the line performance focused Type R. The third generation Integra was in production until 2001, when it was replaced by the fourth generation Acura Integra (re-branded as RSX).
