The Cadillac ELR was a series of hybrid cars that were introduced for the 2014 model year. The ELR, which was only offered in a coupe body style, was a plug-in hybrid that was powered by a 1.4L inline four engine paired with an electric engine that combined to send drive to the front wheels through an automatic transmission. The ELR did not achieve great sales success, leading to the model only being offered for the 2014 and 2016 model years, with just 2,958 examples built before the model was discontinued.
