The Briton Motor Company, more commonly known as Briton, was a British automotive manufacturer that was founded in 1909. Based in Wolverhampton, Briton developed a wide range of models, including the well known Little Briton, which was the companies first car. Briton had a run of success before WW1, but problems with the government lead to very low output from 1916 to 1919, before production ramped up again. A series of financial issues led to ownership of Briton changing hands, with the Briton name used on cars until 1929.
