This splendid and very rare Mercedes-Benz 560SEC Cabriolet is now available for sale from the Patina Collective Selection. OEM-like high quality coach built that offered demanding clients with a Cabriolet version of the flagship grand tourer S-Class Coupe in the 80’s.
Only three coach companies offered high quality OEM style convertible solutions for the Mercedes SEC platform with factory-like quality materials and power functionality.
This car was built by the US company Coach Builders Limited of Florida, who famously offered coupe to convertible conversions for Cadillac, BMW and Mercedes Benz in the late 80’s and early 90’s. The build features a reinforced substructure for chassis integrity and factory-like ride and an automatic power soft top function. The soft top was based on high quality canvass with a full wool headliner to provide a luxurious feel and hard top style upholstery.
Convertible top is fully functional and tight all across, eliminating vibrations from the wind. Canvass presents very well and its free of rips. Rear acrylic window is clear and free of hazing or cuts.
040 Schwartz factory paintwork looks incredible as well as the gray bumpers and cladding from the period finish from Sindelfingen.
