The fourth generation of Rolls-Royce Corniche was introduced in 1992. Known as the Corniche IV, this new series was available as a coupe or convertible, and was powered by a 6.5L V8 engine. The fourth generation Corniche was visually indistinguishable from its predecessor, although there were numerous mechanical upgrades under the bodywork. The Corniche IV was built until 1995. The Corniche name was unused for almost a decade until the introduction of the fifth generation Corniche V.
