2024 Trending Markets between $250K-500K

The $250K-$500K Value Tier is a more exclusive segment that accounts for about 3% of all markets and 2% of total listings. While smaller in scale, this tier continues to offer incredible appeal for those seeking high-end collector vehicles.

The cars in this range lean heavily towards the Modern era, which makes up 58% of listings. The 2000s and 1960s follow with 12% and 8%, respectively.

The average sale price in this tier came in at $342,000, holding steady with 2023. Total dollar volume reached $435 million, with 65% of sales happening at live auctions – as is typical for higher value sales. In total, 1,273 vehicles were sold in this range.

Unlike other tiers, the $250K-$500K range bucked the trend of declining prices. Both dollar volume and sold listings increased by 2%, driven by a 10% surge in online auction activity. This growth helped stabilize average prices, which remained unchanged compared to last year. The sell-through rate (STR) in this tier dipped slightly—down 2% at live auctions—but still settled at an impressive 79%, far exceeding the industry average by more than 15 points.

For collectors and enthusiasts looking to invest in premium vehicles, the $250K-$500K tier remains a vibrant and dynamic space, offering a mix of modern performance, classic elegance, and strong market stability.
