The White Motor Company was an American manufacturer of cars, trucks, buses, and tractors. Founded in 1900, the company initially made steam powered motor cars, yet after WWI, the company steered away from cars and focused their attention to trucks. White produced numerous military vehicles, and was known for producing generators used by the military as well. In addition to military vehicles, White also produced buses as well as fire trucks. In 1988, White was bought by Volvo and merged with GM's heavy truck division.
