The second generation of Volvo V70 was introduced for the 2000 model year. The V70 was still offered as a four door station wagon with a selection of gasoline and diesel powertrains. These cars were offered with front or all wheel drive and with manual or automatic transmissions. Notable variants included the Base Model, XC70, and R. Production of the second generation Volvo V70 ended in 2007 when it was replaced by the 3rd Gen Volvo V70.
