The 1st Gen Vokswagen Touareg was offered in a range of power trains and trim options all equipped with all-wheel drive type known as 4XMotion system, progressively locking differential and low range. The Topuareg was also offered with an optional air suspension which could raise the SUV in difficult terrains if needed and a rear locking differential. This award winning SUV was superseded by the 2nd Generation Touareg in 2010.
