The Triumph TR7 was launched in 1975 both in a coupe and roadster version. It featured a front-mounted 2.0L inline four engine capable of 105bhp for European markets and 92bhp for US markets due to local regulations. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual gearbox initially, a five-speed was optional and a three-speed automatic available from 1976. The Coupe was a very similar design to the popular Austin-Morris Princess, both penned by Harris Mann.
