For the 2007 model year, Toyota introduced the second generation of Tundra. In comparison to the 1st Gen Tundra, these updated trucks were a significant leap forward. The truck was once again available in two and four-door crew cab variants in three different lengths. Cabin capacity was a theme for this redesigned truck, featuring a larger cab. A newly designed 5.7L V8 (3UR-FE)  accompanied it as the most common and powerful available engine. The smaller 4.6L and 4.7L V8s and the 4.0L V6 were also made available. Toyota offered an opulent set of options called the Platinum package and a more focused off-road package called the Rock Warrior. In 2014, a new external facelift was introduced, and it would remain in place until the conclusion of this generation in 2021. In 2022, Toyota extended the Tundra's life for a third generation.
