The 1st Gen of the Toyota Sequoia was introduced for the 2001 model year sharing the engine, dashboard and chassis among other things with the Toyota Tundra. Powered by the 4.7L V8 2UZ FE engine paired to a 4 or 5 speed automatic transmission that was capable of sending the power to the four wheels or rear wheels depending on the version. In 2005 the first gen of the Toyota Sequoia got a facelift upgrade before ending production in 2007 when it was replaced by the 2nd Gen.
