The 2nd generation Toyota Century was introduced in 1997. Although it received a complete redesign, the new model was visually very similar to the 1st generation. The 2nd generation Century was powered by a 5.0L V15 (1GZ-FE), rated between 276 hp to 295 hp depending on the market. Power was driven to the rear via an automatic transmission. The 2nd generation Century was succeeded by a 3rd generation in 2017.
