The Suzuki Jimny, also known as the Suzuki Samurai, or Suzuki Sierra in certain markets, is a family of compact SUVs that was introduced for the 1971 model year. The Jimny has been built across four generations, and has been offered in open or closed body styles, as well as rear wheel drive or all wheel drive configurations. Over the course of production, the Jimny has been offered in a wide range of variants, and has featured inline two, inline three, and inline four engine options, as well as manual or automatic transmissions.
