The Subaru SVX, also known as the Alcyone SVX in the Japanese market, was a series of cars introduced for the 1992 model year. The SVX, meaning Subaru Vehicle X, was the successor to the Subaru XT, and was offered as a front or all wheel drive coupe. The SVX was styled by Giorgetto Guigiaro and was powered by a 3.3L flat six engine. Worldwide production of the SVX reached 24,379 units before the end of production. While production ended in 1996, some late examples were sold in 1997.
