The Subaru Impreza is a series of compact cars introduced for the 1993 model year. The Impreza was the successor to the Subaru Leone, and has been offered mainly as a sedan or hatchback. For the majority of its production, the Impreza has been offered exclusively as an all wheel drive car. In order to showcase the cars offroad capabilities, Subaru entered the Impreza in the World Rally Championship. The Impreza achieved great success in the WRC and as a Race Car, winning multiple constructors and drivers championships, thus cementing its place in automotive history. To pay tribute to its motorsport successes, Subaru has produced a range of special high performance variants such as the WRX, WRX STi, 22B STi, and P1. The Impreza has been built in five generations, at Classic.com, we track generations 1st Gen (1993-2000), 2nd Gen (2001-2007), and 3rd Gen (2008-2014).
